The following multicultural centres can help you find the information and resources you need and help you make Niagara you new home. When choosing a multicultural centre to visit, it’s important to remember that Niagara Region is large and not fully accessible by public transit, so you may need to take a car or taxi.
Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural CentreThe Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre offers settlement services including forms and documents guidance, host family matching, youth services, skills training, job search, language learning, and more. You can find these service in three locations: St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Grimsby.
Fort Erie Multicultural CentreThe Fort Erie Multicultural Centre helps newcomers to Fort Erie through programs such as host family matching, computer training, youth programs, language learning, job search skills, and more. The Centre also operators the Peace Bridge Newcomers Centre by the Peace Bridge between Fort Erie and Buffalo, New York.
Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural CentreThe Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre helps immigrants to Welland and the surrounding area. The Centre provides settlement counselling and immigration services, language learning, youth and childcare services, job search assistance, and more. The Centre also has an emergency shelter and a food bank if you’re in need of these services.
